queer sex is sacred

Why would I want to do this work in a group?

Queer relationships and experiences are mostly devalued in our culture. Even when they are accepted, they are rarely celebrated. And your experience deserves to be celebrated. Your queer love and connection is radical. You are centering a vision of the world that doesn't exist yet.

By exploring and elevating sexual pleasure together we get to create a space where your experience is not the only one.  Where we can dream and scheme our world of queer pleasure and joy.

Explore and deepen your sexual connection through curiosity, play, and celebration of queer sexuality. This group is designed for you if:

  • You're newly out as queer and want to learn more about your relationship to sex.

  • You've been out as queer for forever and are ready for the next phase in your pleasure.

  • Sex has been great and you're interested in digging a little deeper and exploring what else may be possible.

  • Your sexual connection isn't yet what you're hoping for and you want to figure out why.

  • You feel alone and want to be connected in community.

Core Beliefs of Queer Sexual Pleasure

You deserve pleasure.

Your body is sacred.

Your experience is valid.

There is no right way.

Queer joy is resistance.

Week 1 - Calling In

  • We'll begin to build trust and connection as we get to know each other and will honor and celebrate what has been working so we can create a safe container and clarify your goals.

Week 2 - Mirrors & Models

  • We'll identify our sexual pleasure lineages and discuss intimate justice so you can start to move away from limiting heteronormative narratives and incorporate community into your sexual story.

Week 3 - What is Good Sex?

  • We'll examine your beliefs and the wheel of sexual pleasure so you can clarify your definition of "good" sex.

Week 4 - Communication

  • We'll take a look at what sexual communication tools have worked well and together develop some new strategies so that you can create the sexual relationship you all are working towards.

Week 5 - Sex as Creation

  • We'll make space for you to explore and concretely name the story of sex in your life so you can continue to grow.

Week 6 - Playing

  • We'll share experiences and resources so we can support each other's integration, growth and pleasure.

FAQs

1. When is it?

Join the waitlist to be the first to know when the next group will be offered.

2. How much does it cost?

The cost is 900. This includes one 15-minute consultation and six 60-minute group sex coaching sessions via Zoom.

3. What if we can't make a group?

This is a closed group, the same people will be there every week. This allows us to build trusting relationships with each other. It also means that participants are asked to pay for the group even if there is a day they are unable to attend.  I do not record groups to protect the privacy of participants.

4. What is the refund policy?

Your fee will be refunded in full if you choose not to participate before the first group. If you choose not to continue the group before the 3rd group starts there is a cancellation fee of 50 dollars. There is no refund for cancellation after the 3rd group.

5. Is this group therapy?

No, this program is not group therapy. It is part class and part coaching group. There will be opportunities to interact with each other and as a whole group.

6. Is this group for me? Am I queer/kinky/vanilla/trans enough?

Yes. You are enough! This group defines queer as self-definition. If it fits for you, then this is the right space for you! This includes vanilla folks, kinky folks, experienced folks, new folks, young folks, and older folks.

Your Group Coach

I am a white queer trans man, sex coach, sexuality educator and sex nerd. I've been working in the field of trans health for 20 years.   I've had the opportunity to work for Mazzoni Center and The Attic Youth Center, both LGBTQ-focused organizations. I currently have my own practice where I provide therapy and coaching to mostly queer and trans clients.  In 2019 I co-authored the book Sex Therapy with Erotically Marginalized Clients: Nine Principles of Support. I also teach other healthcare providers about working with trans and queer communities through my work at Widener University and the California Institute for Integral Studies.

My personal and professional experiences have taught me how to create a curriculum and a queer-affirming container to hold and celebrate your whole self.  I'm here for you, for your relationship, and for our community; using my unique skills and perspectives to hold and honor queer sexual pleasure in a world that too often does not see us.

As a white person it is my responsibility to challenge and end white supremacy. I am actively engaged in anti-racist learning and strive to create spaces that feel as safe as possible for BIPOC participants.
